RESPIRATORY SYSTEM

Our respiratory system is vital to keep us alive. It is a complex system. It brings oxygen into our body and later take unwanted carbon dioxide out of our body.

The human respiratory system consists of:

- Nasal cavity
- Phaynx
- Larynx
- Trachea
- Bronchi
- Lungs

Air is taken in through the mouth and the nasal cavity.

The main component of the respiratory system are the LUNGS. They are like "sacs" that fill up with oxygen when you breathe.

We have two lungs in our body. The left side of our body contains one lung and the heart. For that reason is a litte smaller than the right lung.

People can survive with only one lung and can have a normal life, with some restrictions.

The respiratory system its related with circulatory system.

Here you have a video with many explanations.

And, that is all.
