but there are about 30 or 40 billion types of bacteria .  This is just an example

MAIN CHARACTERISTICS

The bacteria like the cell have a citoplasm and a plasma bembrane . the bacteria are so small that they have to do whith a microscope . And the bacterium is an unicellular organism that reproduces byspores

PARTS

Resultado de imagen de parts of bacterias

PILI = It is like the hear of bacteria

CAPSULE= The cell capsule is a very large structure , it is outside the cell envelope of bacteria and is considered part of the outer cell of bacteria cell

CELL WALL = is a rigid layer that it is outside the membrane

CELL MEMBRANE= The cell membrane is a flexible tube that the vast majority of living things have

RIBOSOME = A ribosome is a complex

CHROMOSOME = To each of the structures formed by ADN and very organized

FLAGELLUM = is like the tail of the bacteria

THREE VITAL FUNCTIONS

REPRODUCTION :The bacteria reproduces by spores

NUTRITION : Some bacteria feed on photosynthesis and others bacterias feed on organic mater
INTERACTION : They are like the hairs  that have bacteria (PILI) that move super fast and that makes air and get the bacteria to move

  1.Definition of animal
An animal is a living being that can move by its own. All animals do the 3 vital functions: nutrition, relation and reproduction.

  2.  Clasification

          3. Characteristics

a) Vertebrates:

1. They have a bone skeleton.
2.They have vertebrae and bones that hold the skin.

- fish: They live only in aquatic environments and their bodies are covered by scales.
- Birds: They are warm blooded animals, they can fly, jump or run. They are covered with feathers and are oviparous animals.
-Amphibians: They can live in aquatic and terrestrial environments. When they are small, they have gills and Adults have lungs.
- Mamals: They have mammary glands to produce milk to feed their young. They are viviparous animals.
- Reptiles:  Their body is protected by scales. They lay eggs with a very hard shell.

b) Invertebrates:

ANIMAL KINGDOM

BACTERIA   KINGDOM

What are bacteria?

Bacteria are the smallest of living organism. We can't see them without a microscope because they are so small.

They are everywhere around us: in the air, on our skin, in our bodies, in the ground, in the ocean, in clouds, on living things and also on dead things.

Bacteria are microorganism made of only one cell.

Most bacteria are very helpful to humans and are very useful for the industry (to transform milk in cheese or yoghourt,  for petroleum ...)

But some bacteria cause health problems in animals and plants. These bacteria are called pathogens. We use antibiotics to fight against them.

Classification

We can clasify bacteria depending on many factors: Shape
Size
Movement
Feedig system
...

Depending on their morphology and shape bacteria are divided in:

  1. Coccus: Spherical shapep like little balls. They can be found alone, in pairs, in clumps or in long chains
  2. Bacillus: Straight shape like a stick
  3. Coccobacillus: Between a sphere and a rod
  4. Spirillus and spirochete: Spiral shaped like a corkscrew
  5. Filamentous: Elongated shape

Vital Function

Bacteria exist in nature as individual cells.
Bacteria usually live in colonies. Some bacteria work together in groups.

BACTERIAL COLONIES

The mains functions of bacteria are:

  • Collect enough nutrients to survive.
  • Reproduce. Bacteria reproduce quickly. Bacteria can reproduce about once every 20 minutes. The process of reproduction called binary fission.

Parts of the Bacteria Cell

Bacteria are very simple cells.

They don’t have a nucleus but they have DNA in an area called the nucleoid.

They have some envelopes as protection: capsule and cell wall.

They have cell membrane to contain the cytoplasm and to control the transit in and outside the cell.

They don't have specialized organelles, just ribosomes.
Sometimes they have elements for movement like pilus or Flagellum.

Fun Facts

There are 10,000 known species of bacteria.

Bacteria are the most abundant organism in the world.

There are more bacteria in the mouth than people in the world

Bacteria can survive in extrem conditions including deep areas of the Earth's crust, in the space and in radioactive waste.

There are around as many bacteria cells in a human body as there are human cells.

Some bacteria have chemicals that can generate light. This is called bioluminescence.

VERTEBRATE ANIMALS

All vertebrate animals have internal skeleton made of BONES

  • MAMMALS
    • They are viviparous: born of the WOMB of their mothers.
    • When they are BABIES, they eat Breastmilk.
    • breathe through lungs.
    • depending on the kind of food they it, they can be:
Carnivores

Herbivores

Omnivores
  • AMPHIBIANS
    • They are oviparous: they are born from an egg.
    • when they are babies:
      • They live in the water
      • They start as a small larvae
      • They breathe with their gills
      • Almost are herbivorous: They eat vegetables
    • After they go through a metamorphosis and become adults:
      • They can live in the water or on land
      • They can breathe through lungs and their skin
      • They become carnivores: They eat insects
Examples:

Frogs
Tritons
Toads

  • BIRDS
    • They are oviparous: They are born from an egg.
    • They have peaks instead of mouth.
    • They breathe with their lungs.
    • They have feathers , so they can fly.
    • According to their diet, they can be:
Carnivorous bird

Hervibore bird

Omnivorous bird
  • FISHES
    • They live in the water
    • They are oviparous
    • Their bones are spines
    • They are covered with scales
    • Almost all of them are carnivorous

  • REPTILES
    • Almost all of them are terrestrial.
    • They are oviparous.
    • The are covered with scales.
    • Almost all of them are carnivorous.

INVERTEBRATE ANIMALS

They don't haven BONES and they are OVIPAROUS
  • SPONGES

  • JELLYFISH & CORALS

  • WORMS

  • MOLLUSKS
    • They can have a shell
Snails

Clams
    • And some don`t have a shell.
Octoppus
  • ECHINODERMS
 Sea stars
Sea urchins
  • ARTHROPODS
    • 6 legs: INSECTS
Ants

Flies
    • 8 legs: ARACHNIDS
Spiders
Scorpions
    • 10 legs: CRUSTACEANS
Crabs & Lobsters
    • More than 10 legs: MYRIAPODS

FUN FACTS
  • The BAT is the only mammal that can fly.

  • PENGUINS & OSTRICHES are the only birds that can not fly.

  • The WHALE SARK is the biggest kind of fish in the world.

  • There are some kind of SPONGES that we use in the shower that are invertebrate animals.

  • ARTHROPODS are the most abundant animals on the planet.
