solar enrgy

Solar energy
Solar energy is a renewable energy source obtained from use of the electromagnetic radiation from the sun.
Solar radiation has been harnessed by humans since ancient times (as in prehistory when the fire is not dominated, when the sun set ended the day) currently used for energy and warmth.
According to reports by Greenpeace, solar power could provide electricity to two thirds of the world population in 2030.
Energy from the Sun

The Earth receives 174 watts of solar radiation that comes from the highest layer of the atmosphere. Approximately 30% of the radiation back into space, while clouds, oceans and land masses absorb the rest. It is estimated that the total energy absorbed the atmosphere, oceans and continents can be exíjalos 3.85 million per year.
Where solar energy is collected
Solar energy is collected in solar farms, which are composed of large solar cells and is then driven to the grid wires.
Research on solar energy
The major research centers of solar energy are:
Research Centre for Energy, Environment and Technology (CIEMAT).
• Solar Energy Institute of the Polytechnic University of Madrid.
• Photovoltaic Institute Berlin in Germany.
• Institut für Solare Energiesysteme ISE in Germany.
• National Renewable Energy Laboratory NREL in the United States of America.
uses of the solar energy
Solar energy has many uses as light a home, any use in electricity,
the sun warms the planet ect
