The respiratory system.by Jesús

THE RESPIRATORY SYSTEM.
The utility of the respiratory system in our human body is to carry oxygen to the organs and all the living parts of our body.
The parts of the respiratory system are the nostrils, the pharinge, the larynx, trachea, lungs, bronchi and the diaphragm. The process of respiration starts getting the air with the nostrils, it goes to the lungs through the traquea. The lungs get the oxygen and expulses the carbon dioxide with the diaphrgam. The inhaled air in the lungs travells through the capillaries into the arterial blood.
When you inhale you get air and the ribs expand to allow the lungs to have more capacity. The diaphrgam contracts downwards allowing the chest to expand.
When you exhale the lungs get smaller, the diaphrgam contracts upwards helping the lungs to exhale  the carbon dioxide.
OTHER CURIOSITIES:
  • We use the air to talk  and to produce sounds moving our mouth.
  • As harder as we exhale the air from our lungs the sound is going to be louder.
  • Sometimes when someone sleeps the back part of its nose and neck vibrates when they breath this sound is called snoring.
  • But some animals like fish dont breath by lungs, they can breath by gills.
