TWINS AND IDENTICAL TWINS

TWINS

Human twins are individuals who share the uterus in the same pregnancy as often, but not necessarily, are conceived and born while almost simultaneously.

IDENTICAL OR MONOZIGOTICS TWINS:

At fertilization of an egg with a sperm a single zigote is formed and divided into two embryos.

In embryo splitting DNA is divided into identical copies, so the twins share their genes, so they are always the same sex.

MONOZIGOTICS TWINS ARE REALLY IDENTICAL?

Research in identical twins discover that over the years become differentiated by environmental factors such as smoking, diet, physical activity,
environment ...

Also sometimes the differences of identical twins are due to small variations in chemical signatures of DNA.

DIFERENCES BETWEEN TWINS AND IDENTICAL TWINS:

Fraternal twins or twins como from two eggs fertilized by two diferent sperm and therefore have different genetic load.

Identical twins come from a single egg fertilized by a single sperm, the embryo divides resulting in two separate fetuses, but with the same genetic load.
