Bats are animals, they are mammals capable of flying.
Even though they look like birds bats are not oviparous they are viviparous.
They go backwards that we, sleeping through the day and going through the night and also sleeping face down hanging from something for example a branch. They are the second most distributed mammals in the world. Bats are everywhere except at the poles.
There are more than 1240 known species of bats.
There are only three types of venomous bats.
The most diminutive bat weighs 1.5 grams ´´the bumblebee of the Philippines´´and the one that weighs more 1.2 kilograms ´´the flying fox of golden crown´´.
Bats have the same types of bones as humans in their limbs. The difference is that their hands are longer and are covered by a membrane that extends to the legs, which is called ´´potagium´´. It is also called chiroptera, which means ´´wings in the hands´´.
Bats emit high-frequency ultrasounds, inaudible to humans, to orient themselves during flight and hunting. A few Australian scientists have said that these sounds have different ´´accents´´ depending on the species in question.
In England and Scotland, they are studying how bats use sounds to locate objets and hope to apply it to create more sensitive medical ultrasound systems, develop new techniques for the search of oil and manufacture implants for deaf people.
Scientists from the norch Carolina city, have created Robo-Bats, which perfecly emits the flight of these animals and whose skeleton weighs only 6 grams.
