RESPIRATORY SYSTEM
Respiration is the same thing that breathing.
What are the organs
of the respiratory system?
The main organs in the respiratory
systems arte the lungs.
Anothers organs respiratory sistems are: the nose, pharynx, larynx, trachea and
bronchi.
How the respiratory system works?
We take fresh air throgh the nose
and mouth. The oxygen go through the trachea and pharynx. From the pharynx pass
the air to the larynx. Then the bronchi allow enters the air into the air into
the lungs. Finally the atmosphery oxygen arrive to the lungs.
The change of oxygen and carbon dioxide happen at the alveoli, which are smalls sacs at the end of the respiratory tree.
This process of taking oxygen to the lungs is the inhalation.
The lungs take the oxygen of the atmosphere to the blood and send off the carbon dioxide to the air. This process of taking off the dioxide from the lungs to the air throug nose and mouth is the exhalation.
During the inhalation the diaphragm, that is a muscle between the torax and the abdomen, moves downward. In exhalation process the diaphragm returns to the normal position.
